Media Training for Business Schools
Managing the media

A self-contained, practice-rich module specifically designed to add value to business school executive management proqrammes. Our tried and tested team can use your existing media facilities and equipment or can provide everything you need to offer a realistic media experience.
Benefits of media training for management students:
Media training provides an essential frontline management skill, particularly for times of crisis.
The tutoring ‘locks in’ to a wider management context, with these additional benefits –
- Encourages socially responsible business and engagement with community
- Engages participants in managing organisational reputation
- Ensures personal communication skills and provides an ‘edge’ in communicating change
- Enhances group bonding and team-working for course members, through sharing of challenges
The programme:
Our programme is flexible and can respond to organisational and individual needs. However, we strongly recommend an intensive two-day or three-day programme that ensures:
- All types of media (radio, TV, press and new media) and all types of interview can be covered (e.g. live, recorded, face-to-face, down-the-line, soundbite, discussion programme, print media by telephone).
- Full account is taken of the evolving face of the media, the effect of new technologies and new delivery platforms, as well as the emergence of citizen journalism.
- Special attention is paid to communicating in a crisis, when organisational threat is strongest, and also to turning negative issues to positive advantage.
Our Team:
Second to none, both in terms of breadth and depth of journalistic experience and in terms of understanding tutorial needs. We have run similar programmes for a number of Universities and business schools.
Interviews are conducted in a realistic manner and may be tough and uncompromising. Feedback, however, is supportive and concentrates on providing points for improvement.
